🕹️ Your cockpit
- MASTER switch on, then turn the KEY to start the engine.
- THROTTLE: up = more power. The propeller pushes air back, so Poppy goes forward.
- STICK: pull back = nose up, push = nose down, tilt = bank and turn. Let go and Poppy flies level.
- FLAPS UP / 10° / 30°: a bigger wing for slow flying. GEAR lever: wait for 3 green lights before landing.
Keyboard: arrows = stick (↓ pulls back), W / S = throttle, M = master, E = key, F = flaps, G = gear, Space = brakes.
📟 Real instruments
The "six pack" in front of you is the same set real pilots learn on:
airspeed,
attitude (the little plane and the horizon),
altimeter,
turn coordinator,
heading and
vertical speed. The white arc on the airspeed dial is where flaps are OK, green is normal, yellow is careful, and the red line is too fast.
Poppy's dials use km/h and meters, like many planes in Europe and Asia. Lots of planes use knots and feet instead.
🔬 Is it real?
The ideas are real: wings need fast air to make lift, flaps help you fly slowly, the gear can't fold up on the ground, and you land slow and gently. A helper keeps Poppy from stalling, so a slow plane just sinks and the
STALL light comes on.
Game note: real flying needs years of lessons and a real instructor. Poppy is a pretend plane, the islands are made up, and nothing in the game can get hurt.
