๐งฑ How to build
- Stack: the crane swings a stone. Tap when it's right above the wall (or press Space).
- Flying buttresses: the heavy stone ceiling pushes the walls out, so drag one from the tray to each red PUSH arrow. You can also just tap the wall at the arrow.
- Gargoyles: before the storm, drag a gargoyle onto every glowing gutter, or tap the gutter.
Stars: neat stones, buttresses in the right place on the first try, and dry walls.
๐ฌ Is it real?
The ideas are real: a heavy stone vault pushes the tops of the walls
outward, and flying buttresses push back so tall, thin walls can stand. Gargoyles really are rain spouts that throw water away from the stones, because water seeping into walls slowly wears them away.
Game note: real cathedrals are built in many rows of bays, not one slice, and real wet walls don't fall down in a storm. Here a wall without help only wobbles, and nothing can get hurt.
โช Notre-Dame
Building began in 1163 and lasted almost 200 years. After the fire of 2019, carpenters rebuilt the oak roof and spire by hand, and the cathedral opened again in December 2024 with a new golden rooster on top.
